Also tattoo ink is injected into the epidermis (top layer of your skin) not the spine :] Some hospitals refuse to give injections through a lower spine tattoo into the spine itself (as in the case of an epidural for instance) then again other hospitals are happy to do so.

I hear what your saying, however our tattooist is a very practiced professional guy and shes still alive two years later so i think the risk factor was low enough :] Maybe on the arm for a man, you have to think of the shape of a ladies body and where it will still look feminine and read as an image, shes very petite and beautiful lady.

The rest of the piece she wants to flow up her back/behind the swords so the light emitting from them is more apparent. We have been thinking hard and have a few ideas, so i will update with a new picture in time. Thanks for the fave man :]

cool but do note that getting a tattoo in the "tramp stamp" location is risky, due to the fact that its over the spinal cord. the lower your go the bigger the risk you face; the ink can go down into your spine. height also contributes. the taller you are the less risk you have. I'd get this on my arm or shoulder blade :D
